Maskne Protocol

Introduction

Acne is a chronic inflammation of the pilosebaceous glands associated with hormonal changes in puberty but also later in life and in menopause.Treatments are directed towards active acne as well as acne scars.

What?

The CPL laser treatment combines intense pulsed lights, which are absorbed by the porphyrins generated from the acne bacteria and destroyed. This reduces sebum production by the glands and skin oiliness. The Dermapen device causes small micro-injuries to the skin, about 1-2mm deep – the depth is adjusted according to the type and shape of the acne scars. These micro-injuries stimulate the proliferation of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, leading to the gradual improvement of scars.
