Biography


Ms Angelica Kavouni trained in Plastic Surgery in London NHS Hospitals; following her certification by the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery she specialised in Cosmetic Surgery as a fellow at London's Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery under Mr Dai Davies and then spent a few years working as an associate cosmetic plastic surgeon to Mr Jan Stanek at Surgical Aesthetics. She is on the UK General Medical Council specialist register in Plastic Surgery since 2000.


Ms Angelica Kavouni completed her doctoral thesis (PhD) on “Growth hormone and wound healing” in 2001 and she achieved a Diploma in Aesthetic surgery from the University of Queen Mary, London in 2010. She was an Associate specialist at St Stephen’s Centre, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation trust between September 2005 and March 2013.

Her private practice is based in Harley Street and her areas of expertise are: 


  • Mini facelift and skin rejuvenation (Botox, fillers, laser, peel )


  • Abdominoplasty and breast enhancement after pregnancy or weight loss


  • Cosmetic gynaecology (her latest research collaboration and publications are on the subject of labiaplasty)



Angelica has filmed for a number of TV plastic surgery shows: Ten years younger, Embarrassing bodies, Extreme Makeover, Make Me beautiful and Dr Christian Will See You Now. She has also appeared on Richard and Judy and ITV’s This Morning as a plastic surgery expert.


   

Ms Angelica Kavouni says:


I feel that cosmetic procedures are not to be taken lightly. There is a lot of responsibility and a great challenge to create individualised, natural results. It can be a life-changing experience but only when it is performed for the right reasons!



Ms Kavouni is married to fellow Plastic Surgeon Mr Lucian Ion and they have two grown up boys.
